Brad Pierce is proud of his roots deep in the Ag industry. Born and raised in the rural South Plains area of Lamb County, Brad grew up up in the middle of his family cotton farm and assisting in the family beef cattle operation. His goal in life was to teach agriculture. With this in mind, Brad headed to Angelo State University in the Fall of 1977 to pursue a degree in Animal Science. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science Production in May of 1981, Brad was hired as an assistant Ag Extension Agent with Texas A&M Agrilife and was assigned to his first position in Terry County. After holding several successful positions in the area and receiving a promotion to Ag Program Leader in Travis County in 1987, Brad also obtained a Master of Education in Ag Education from South West Texas State University in 1989. He was on the Dev team for the nationally recognized Grow Green program and received the Environmental Excellence Award from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in 2004. After retiring from a 30-year career with TAES, Brad taught for 3 years at Bowie High School in Austin and is now pursuing his new education arena with F & R Educational Services. Brad is certified to teach private, commercial and structural education and provides his workshops attendees with the Continuing Education Unit credits they need for their Texas Department of Agriculture licenses. The company goal is to increase clientele profits and educate them to improve their agriculture and landscaping businesses. Continual education and the application of that knowledge is key to F & R Educational Services. Brad has been married for 42 years to his high school sweetheart, Cynthia. They have 2 grown children and 1 grandson and continue to live in Austin, Texas.
